Monday, 19 December 2011
Elaine Roy is half of the country music band The Roys. The bluegrass album “Lonesome Whistle” is the debut album for this brother-sister duo, originally from Fitchburg, Massachusetts. They’ve performed their version of the national anthem back at Fenway Park, for President Bush at Andrews Air Force Base, and Kansas Speedway for the NASCAR Truck series. And they’ve also opened for the Oak Ridge Boys and George Jones. Here are some of Elaine’s favorite places in America…
My favorite place in the U.S. to visit is…Fitchburg, Massachusetts because our family is there.
The first thing I do when I go to Fitchburg…is I go to Singapore Chinese Restaurant.
Everyone should visit…Moody Beach, Maine…at least once…because it is a beautiful beach in the North East and it’s private.
Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, Maine…is a pleasant surprise….because it has the Marginal Way which is a walking path along the ocean in the North East and it is just beautiful.
My favorite restaurant in the U.S. is…Singapore in Fitchburg, Massachusetts because they have the best Chinese food and it’s in our hometown.
The best place to find…lobster is at Browns in Salisbury, Massachuetts because they know how to cook lobster!!
My favorite airport in the US is…Nashville because it either means I am leaving for a vacation/business trip or getting back home!!
