Lee Roy is one half of the country music brother-sister duo The Roys. The bluegrass album “Lonesome Whistle” is the debut album for this duo originally from Fitchburg, Massachusetts. They’ve performed their version of the national anthem back at Fenway Park, for President Bush at Andrews Air Force Base, and Kansas Speedway for the NASCAR Truck series and they’ve opened for the Oak Ridge Boys and George Jones. Here are some of Roy’s favorite places in America…
My favorite place in the U.S. to visit is…I love the outdoors and love the mountains…It’s peaceful and good to get away from the craziness of everyday life.
The first thing I do is I go to…the mountains.
Another place to visit is…Nashville. It has a lot to offer even beyond the music.
The Gulf Coast of Alabama is another amazing peaceful place. Great beaches, food & night life!
My favorite restaurant in the U.S. is…I don’t have a favorite, but do love any good fresh seafood spot.
The best place to find…great Chinese food…is…a place called Singapore in our hometown of Fitchburg, MA. Just have great food there!!
Some great towns people may not know about to visit are… Any little town America. They all have their own stories.
Any Flying J…is a great truck stop. I love this place because they have great service and they’re clean.
My favorite airport in the US is…Baltimore. Easy to get around and I am rarely not on time leaving there.
